Chancellor Merkel speaks before Knesset

German Chancellor Merkel speaks before Israeli Knesset in German, and declares that Germany feels shame for the Holocaust. She spoke in German; that caused some "right-wing" MKs to walk out. That's alright; Israel is a democracy, and everyone is allowed to express an opinion. I do consider this a landmark: a German Chancellor (Hitler started out as Chancellor), herself a former East German, speaking in German before the Jewish state's parliament, declaring her land's shame for the extermination of millions of Jews is a historic event.
