Spitzer is linked to prostitution ring - what kind of jerk is this man? Did he actually expect he could get away with it, and not get caught? Precisely. Amazing. What could he have been thinking? 'O, I won't get caught. Not me; I'm too smart. I'll get away with it.' Wrong, bozo.
The NYT story has this quote: "Mr. Spitzer, a first term Democrat, today made a brief public appearance during which he apologized for his behavior, and described it as a “private matter.” He did not address his political future." Private matter? Nah. Prostitution is a crime. The Governor can't engage in behavior the citizen can't engage in; calling it a private matter won't work. Looks as if Elliot is in deep doo-doo. Wall Street is cheering.
