Who is the man on the left?

A fascinating story.

The picture on top shows someone (left on the picture) meeting with one of the chieftains of the FARC. Colombian Intelligence charged it was Gustavo Larrea, a Minister in the government of Ecuador. The Ecuadorian goverment 'clarified' that that someone was an Argentinian Communist. Hmmm.
