Petraeus Faces Next President

Senators running for President make a return to Capitol Hill to question the top US general in Iraq. McCain presses his point: promises to withdraw forces "would constitute a failure of political and moral leadership." Clinton, for her part, minces words: "I fundamentally disagree," Clinton said later, when it was her turn to speak. "Rather, I think it could be fair to say that it might well be irresponsible to continue the policy that has not produced the results that have been promised time and time again."

Fundamentally disagrees: I think, it could be, it might well be. It's so nice she has a firm opinion. Danged lawyer.
