From the London Times. Perhaps the US is far too puritan a popular culture - in only a limited sense, for there are displays of images which are quite without much restraint, or modesty. It is impossible for anyone to say, or write, the word asshole in a major media outlet, yet soft-porn images are perfectly okay. The picture of that woman in an almost-bikini is from an advertisement on some website or media outlet that ran a poll on 'the hundred sexiest women.' That image is what is valued: blond, big ass, skinny, boobs, red lips.
