Colombia Frees FARC Hostages, Including Betancourt, Americans

Another wow.

Colombia's military said it has rescued 15 hostages, including former presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three U.S. military contractors, from leftist rebels.

After years in captivity, officials said French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt and three Americans had been rescued from leftist guerrillas by Colombian troops. In total, 15 were rescued. Video courtesy of Reuters. (July 2)
This is going to give quite a boost to Uribe, and probably piss off Chavez. Bush will probably also enjoy it.
