Hurricane Ike batters Cuba

This piture is from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (how'z that for government bureacratese?), now referred to as NOAA. Look at that red blob, in the top picture, swirling back over western Cuba. As the hurricane moves west its swirls in a counter-clockwise pattern. In the second picture, look at the red line of hurricane-force winds. Haiti has been battered by the last three hurricanes; poor people.
