Buena Vista Revisited: The Carnegie Concert

Buena Vista Social Club. New 2 CD set released. Interesting what they did with the cover: The cover of the new "Buena Vista Social Club at Carnegie Hall" (World Circuit/Nonesuch) shows Ibrahim Ferrer smoking a cigarette and ambling down West 57th Street in front of Carnegie Hall's marquee. It's a clever composite: Mr. Ferrer's image is lifted from the cover of 1997's "Buena Vista Social Club," clearly taken on a calle in the singer's native Havana.
