Hi y'all, it's George, George W.

I wondered how long it'd be before he came out of the ranch.

Last night, George W. Bush gave his first speech since the torture flap exploded. The GOP still eschews the ex-president on a personal level but, says Matthew Yglesias, it’s now fully embracing his legacy.

How is that possible?

Though the former president remains buried in ignominy, he can console himself with the fact that the GOP seems to have implicitly decided that they just can't quit Bush.

Some habits are difficult to break.
