Red clouds

The threatening skies over Citi Field in the second inning could have been a sign that it was not going to be a good night for the Mets.

After work, I drove back to Queens, and stopped in the supermarket in the Cross Island shopping center to get bottles of seltzer (and bought two pairs of shoes in a newly-opened store). Around 6pm a huge dark cloud cover loomed overhead, and threatened a storm. Just before 6.30 the rain suddenly started, followed by a peal of thunder that boomed in tandem with a bolt of lightning. After dinner I went out for a walk with the dogs, around 8.30, and saw this sky: the color and the shape of the clouds were mesmerizing.
