Helping patrons with research and information

One of the pleasures of being a librarian is helping people find information they need, to do research, to gain information, gain knowledge, just for fun. I learn a lot, too. Here are some of the topics I helped with the last couple of days:

* archetypal criticism
* music of Gershwin
* music of Kabalevsky
* works of Robert Frost
* LBJ and his times

Gershwin I knew, and LBJ; ditto Frost. I'd never heard of Kabalevsky, nor of archetypal criticism (what it is I am still not sure).
