Argentina agricultural strike

This story, of course, gets zero coverage in the US media. The venerable New York Times has nothing. In fact, in the World section of NYTimes.com there is a Times Topics: Find News By Country section with a drop-down list of countries. Choosing Argentina brings these gems: the last story in the category is dated December 14, 2007, in which La Presidenta faults the US for meddling in Latin AMerican affairs; next is this gem: in macho Argentina, a new beacon for Gay tourists, dated December 3, 2007 -- and then one about Queen Cristina from September! Geez!

El País, Madrid leftist rag, does cover Argentina well -- well, it covers it, and it does have a story about the agri-strike. The strike, now 17 days old, will last until at least Wednesday.
