China spins Tibet, again

Yesterday the tactic of giving foreign media a controlled show of calm in Lhasa blew up in their face when monks shouted "Tibet is not free!" during the tour. Try, try again.

Beijing Reaches Out Again[Image] China invited foreign diplomats to Tibet, in the latest effort by Beijing to temper international criticism of its policies there ahead of this year's Olympic Games. In the final day of a press tour, reporters weren't allowed to see Lhasa's Muslim quarter.
